报告基因 (reporter gene) 是一种编码易被检测的蛋白质或酶的基因,其与目的基因融合后的表达产物可用来标定目的基因的表达调控。通常,报告基因与表达载体中的启动子序列连接,转移到细胞后,通过直接测定报告基因mRNA、报告蛋白本身或报告蛋白的酶活性来检测报告基因是否在细胞中表达。


报告基因系统提供了一个快速、灵敏和定量的检测方法。吉满生物自主研发的以哺乳动物真核 载体为基础的报告基因载体,在其多克隆位点插入包括信号通路中的转录因子调控的多个结合位点、萤火虫荧光素酶 (Firefly Luciferase) 或海肾荧光素酶 (Renila Luciferase) 等元件,可用于检测转录因子的转录活性评估、药物研究以及基因功能分析等。
